General filters

Filter on path length

BioGuide allows you to limit the number of result paths for your query, by filtering these paths with regards to their length.

Definition: The path length is computed as being the number of cross-references in the path.
Default value: The default filter is to return paths of length between 1 and 4
Menu to use: This window is opened by using the menu Filters ./ Filter on path length

Filter the kind of relationships used

  • Use non biological relations:
You can choose to use (or not to use) the non biological relations in result paths. A non biological relation is a cross-reference that cannot have a direct biological signification. For example a cross-reference from OMIM (disease) to PDB (3DStructure) would not have a biological meaning but reflects a "shortcut" defined by the annotator.
In the default SRS model we did not use non biological relations, these filters will only be useful if you adapt this model to your needs.

  • Use tools relations:
You can choose to use (or not to use) tools links. Tools links are only available in the basic version, the current implementation of BioGuideSRS does not deal with tools.
